Department of Public Examinations (DPE)

DPE is committed to organizing and conducting examinations at all levels, consistent with the national policies and goals in line with emerging international trends. DPE ensures that its examinations are valid and reliable and that standards are maintained in view of international recognition. In the conduct of examinations, DPE is committed to provide a high level of confidentiality and security, vital for strengthening confidence among the users of its services and the public in general.

Quality Assurance Department (QAD)

QAD was established in February 2015 by a presidential decree as a department under the Ministry of Education. The department is mandated to set quality standards and to monitor the quality of education in the Maldives. QAD is committed to assuring educational excellence for all Maldivians.

Assessment/s:

QAD is responsible for the development and/or endorsement of the quality assurance standards for education in Maldives. The quality assurance standards protect the interests of all students of Maldives who wish to pursue education regardless of their place of study. Below is the list of standards endorsed by the QAD.

• School Improvement, Quality Assurance and Accountability Framework (SIQAAF)
