About the Meeting
The Network on Education Quality Monitoring in the Asia Pacific (NEQMAP) at UNESCO Bangkok, with support from the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) and Korea Institute for Curriculum and Evaluation (KICE), organized its 6th annual meeting with a theme “Opening the dialogue: Promoting inclusion and equity through quality assessment” on 13-14 December 2018 in Bangkok, Thailand.
In addition to sharing updates on NEQMAP and its members’ on-going activities, the annual meeting facilitated discussions and exchanges on to what extend education systems are aligned to address issues related to inclusion and equity, particularly those related to SDG targets 4.1, 4.5 and 4.7, the potential challenges encountered in the process and the possible solutions in moving forward, with a specific focus on curriculum, teaching and assessment.
