As schools around the world closed due to COVID-19, it left many students wondering whether their high-stakes exams will proceed this year. This World Bank blog explores three main alternative approaches to the situation: examinations are cancelled, examinations are postponed and examinations take place in a modified format. What is the right approach? In short, it depends.
